Our Story

The Phoenician is a family-owned and operated restaurant that has been proudly serving our customers for over 20 years. We offer a unique blend of Middle Eastern and American cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. Our menu includes traditional favorites like hummus and raw kibbee, as well as classic American dishes from succulent steaks to fresh seafood. Over 20 Years Of Excellence!

The Phoenician Restaurant has proudly carried on some of the cherished recipes and spirit of the legendary Bishop’s Restaurant in Lawrence, MA. With the blessing and support of Bishop’s owners after their closure, we opened in Salem, NH in 2002, welcoming former staff and beloved menu items. In 2009, we moved to our new, larger location in Haverhill, MA, where we continue to serve fresh, quality ingredients in a warm, welcoming setting. Family owned and operated, we offer traditional Middle Eastern favorites like hummus and raw kibbee alongside American classics such as steaks and fresh seafood.

Best Place ever! The service the food the drinks! I Highly recommend the Tenderlion which was cooked medium and the lamb on stick, Medium Well. The stuffed mushroom were amazing. They just melt in your mouth!
